It's more of a climb/scramble than a hike. Very pretty hike and the trail is well marked with red marks on trees. Review tags are currently only available for English language reviews. For east summit trail continue north on 300 for another mile. If you want a good outing with your pup (if they are large enough to jump up on some smaller boulders) go over to the West Summit, which will still give you some great views and an enjoyable hike!

They have a wonderful playground for the kids and nature paths to walk on. I’ve lived in Arkansas all my life and only just now climbed Pinnacle in 2020. Don’t miss this chill spot! One other reminder – the speed limits around the park are 35 MPH. The trail is popular with families and those seeking fitness.

On the way back down I ended up sliding on my bottom down most of the boulders because it was easier than trying to choose where to step.

Today, I tackled the East Summit trail at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Central Arkansas. This rocky trail begins at the park picnic grounds and winds its way to the top of Pinnacle Mountain.
We prefer bush whacks and waterfalls, but today was the first time we hiked pinnacle.

I brought my almost 5 year old up and down this trail and we had a blast navigating all of the rocks!
you'll need both hands for the boulders. Cone shaped Pinnacle Mountain is in the far northwest corner of Little Rock in a state park named after it. If we do it again, we’ll do East to West and go up the more strenuous path and down the easier one.
Take exit 9 off I-430 and go east on Arkansas 10 for seven miles. This day-use park offers a variety of outdoor adventure on the Big and Little Maumelle Rivers, in the Arkansas Arboretum, and along over 15 miles of trails including 7 miles of challenging mountain bike trails. Pinnacle Mountain East Summit Trail is a 1.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Little Rock, Arkansas that features beautiful wild flowers and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers.
